Dr. Sreejith K. currently serves as Professor at the Department of Kayachikitsa, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, since March 31, 2021. He hails from a traditional Ayurveda family from Perumbavoor, Cochin. He has done his UG from Govt. Ayurveda College, Tripunithura, in 2003. He completed his Post graduation in Kayachikitsa from ALN Rao Memorial Ayurveda College, Koppa, in 2010.
In addition to excellence in general medicine, he is also well-known for treating eye ailments through traditional Ayurvedic techniques. His book “Ophthalmology in Ayurveda “is serving as a useful academic tool for UG students in various Ayurveda colleges across the country.
Dr. Sreejith has given many lectures on Ayurveda for medical officers, students, and public for improvisation of Ayurvedic knowledge among them. He has 11 years of teaching experience in Ayurveda colleges and published many articles in various journals of Ayurveda. He has 18 years of experience in Clinical field.
