Dr Shaithya Raj is currently working as Associate professor in the Department of Prasuthi and Streeroga. She completed her BAMS in 2007 and MS in Ayurvedic Surgery-Shalya Tantra in 2011 and Diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy in 2004 from Alvas Ayurveda Medical College, Moodbidri, Karnataka. She has Professional experience of general practice for 13 years, 9 years teaching experience for UG and 7 years teaching experience for PG. She has an additional teaching experience in Human Anatomy. She has given guidance for PG students of both Shalya Tantra and Prasuthi- Streeroga Department. She is pursuing PhD from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. She has presented papers in various international and national seminars and had done TV Programmes on various Surgical techniques in Ayurveda. She also has published articles in National and International Journals.
