Dr. Deepthi Balakrishnan currently serves as Professor in the Department of Kaumarabhritya (Pediatrics), Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus.
She completed her BAMS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in 2003 and her M.D. in Kaumarabhritya in 2011 from the same university. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Kaumarabhrithya from Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education & Research (DMIHER), Wardha.
With over 22 years of clinical experience and 14 years in academics, Dr.Deepthi has dedicated her career to the advancement of Ayurvedic pediatric care. She has previously served as Head of the Department & Professor at P.N.N.M Ayurveda Medical College, Shoranur, where she mentored numerous UG and PG scholars
Her core expertise lies in the Ayurvedic management of pediatric neurological and developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, epilepsy, muscular dystrophy, and spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). She also has extensive experience in treating chronic childhood illnesses, lifestyle disorders, and providing better care for children.
